CMA decision not to refer to phase 2

21 October 2025: The CMA has decided, on the information currently available to it, not to refer the anticipated acquisition by Accent Holdings, L.P. of DR Baling Wire Holdings Limited to a phase 2 investigation under the provisions of the Enterprise Act 2002, using the 鈥榙e minimis鈥� exception. The full text of the decision will be published shortly.

Launch of merger inquiry

16 September 2025: The CMA announced the launch of its merger inquiry by notice to the parties.

Invitation to comment: closed

29 July 2025: The CMA is issuing this 鈥榠nvitation to comment鈥� to allow interested parties to submit to the CMA any initial views on the impact that the transaction could have on competition in the UK. This invitation to comment is the first part of the CMA鈥檚 information-gathering process.

To assist it with this assessment, the CMA invites comments on the transaction from any interested party.
