Welsh Language Scheme consultation

In order to respect of the language choices of our service users, the Competition and Markets Authority has adopted the principle that in the conduct of public business in Wales, it will treat the English and Welsh languages on a basis of equality. The scheme sets out how we鈥檒l give effect to that principle when providing services to the public.

The voluntary scheme has been prepared in accordance with guidance from the Welsh Language Commissioner under the Welsh Language Act 1993, and it鈥檚 hoped it will be formally approved by the Welsh Language Commissioner following the consultation process.

Er mwyn bod dewis iaith ein defnyddwyr yn cael ei barchu, mae y Competition and Markets Authority wedi mabwysiadu鈥檙 egwyddor o drin y Saesneg a鈥檙 Gymraeg ar sail ei bod yn gyfartal wrth gynnal busnes cyhoeddus yng Nghymru. Drwy鈥檙 cynllun yma dengys sut byddwn yn gweithredu鈥檙 egwyddor honno wrth ddarparu gwasanaeth i鈥檙 cyhoedd.

Paratowyd y cynllun gwirfoddol yma trwy ddilyn cyngor Comisiynydd y Gymraeg yn 么l Deddf yr Iaith Gymraeg 1993. Yn dilyn yr ymgynghoriad gobeithiwn dderbyn cymeradwyaeth gan Gomisiynydd y Gymraeg.
