The Interim Manager听appointment听is听considered by the Commission to be听the most听appropriate听and proportionate听option听to address issues within the charity听during听its ongoing inquiry.

The interim manager appointed, Mr Khalid Sofi of Lee Bolton Monier-Williams LLP, has specific duties to fulfil,听to the exclusion of the trustees. He is tasked with:

1. Setting up and running a membership recruitment campaign to admit those persons that satisfy the membership criteria in the听charity鈥檚 governing document, while taking steps to ensure the local community are engaged in the process.

2. Carrying out a comprehensive review of the听charity鈥檚 governing document and taking听steps to arrange for the governing document to be amended to ensure it provides the听charity with a workable governing document that is easy to follow and implement.

3. Holding and听facilitating听an Annual General Meeting (AGM)听in order for听members to elect trustees听in accordance with听the provisions of the听charity鈥檚听governing document.

4. Following the outcome and review of the AGM, inducting听the new trustees into post.

• On听7 August 2025,听the Inquiry exercised the Commission鈥檚 power to appoint听an听Interim Manager by Order under section 76(3)(g) of the Act听to the exclusion of the charity鈥檚 trustees.听Once they听have听completed the scope of their appointment, the Interim Manager听will be听discharged by an Order made under section 337(6) of the Act.听More information about the Charity Commission鈥檚 appointment of Interim Managers听can be found on 伊人直播听
