Table of allocations
Source data
Care Quality Commission (CQC) . The small number of care home beds assigned to Flintshire or Unspecified are excluded from the calculation.
Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) . Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole council and Dorset council (both created in April 2019) have been assigned an ACA of 1 as their predecessor councils of Bournemouth, Poole, and Dorset County Council all had an ACA of 1.
Method
The allocation shares for each local authority are calculated as [Number of care home beds * Area Cost Adjustment] / England sum of [Number of care home beds * Area Cost Adjustment]. The Area Cost Adjustment reflects differences in wages and prices in different local authorities.
Note: it is expected that each care home should receive an amount per CQC registered bed, representing 75% of the funding. The remaining 25% to be allocated by the local authority to care homes or domiciliary care providers and support wider workforce resilience.
