Before you apply聽

You cannot use an agent or representative to act on your behalf to buy statutory biodiversity credits.聽

If you鈥檙e buying as an individual, payment must be from your personal bank account.聽

If you鈥檙e buying as an organisation, payment must be from the bank account of the organisation.聽

A third-party supplier will use your information for customer due diligence checks. These are to check you are who you say you are and to carry out anti-money laundering checks.聽

How to apply

1. Open and download the form. Complete the questions by typing your answers. Once you鈥檙e finished, save the form.聽

2. Create a new email using your preferred email provider.

3. Attach your completed form and your statutory biodiversity metric calculation tool. In the subject line type 鈥楢pplication to buy statutory biodiversity credits鈥�.

4. Send your email to: bngcredits@naturalengland.org.uk

We aim to contact you within 4 weeks of receiving your order to tell you if you鈥檝e passed the initial checks. If more checks are needed, we will let you know. This could take up to 8 weeks in total.聽

When to pay聽

Once you pass the checks, we will send you a proforma invoice with details on how to pay.聽
