Details

Collaborative relationships between local licensing authorities, the police and local trade are vital to enable effective taxi and private hire vehicle (PHV) regulation.

This guidance aims to support effective information sharing between licensing authorities and the police concerning taxi and PHV licensing.

It was co-written by the Department for Transport, the Home Office and the National Police Chiefs’ Council following working groups with the Disclosure and Barring Service, the Institute of Licensing, the Local Government Association and the National Association of Licensing and Enforcement Officers.
