An invitation to the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) co-design concluding event on Wednesday 22 October 2025 was sent directly to local authority (LA) single inboxes on Friday 10 October 2025 for the attention of colleagues and stakeholders currently involved or interested in the delivery of the Household Support Fund and Discretionary Housing Payments.

This event marks the end of our summer co-design series with LA and third-party organisation representatives where we will be sharing the findings from our CRF co-design process and outlining the next steps for CRF.

Pension Credit Week of Action from 27 October to 2 November 2025
4. Pension Credit does more than provide direct financial support - it can unlock a range of support that could save eligible pensioners hundreds of pounds each year.
5. This year鈥檚 Pension Credit Week of Action runs from 27 October to 2 November 2025. You can help us reach pensioners who may be eligible for, but unaware of, the extra support available to them. Please share these messages with your residents and stakeholders or聽share on your social media channels.
6. Four ways Pension Credit helps pensioners save:

Housing costs:鈥疨ension Credit can help with certain housing costs. Eligible pensioners might also qualify for a Local Council Tax Reduction to lower their council tax bill, Housing Benefit if they鈥檙e renting, or Support for Mortgage Interest if they own their home

Energy bills:聽Pension Credit unlocks access to additional energy support. Eligible pensioners could receive the Warm Home Discount to reduce electricity costs and Cold Weather Payments during particularly cold spells

Health and wellbeing:鈥疨ension Credit can provide access to essential NHS services. This includes dental treatment and help with transport costs for hospital appointments

TV Licence:聽Pensioners aged 75 and over who are eligible for Pension Credit qualify for a free TV Licence

10. A person may be able to get one or both parts depending on their circumstances. The type of Pension Credit you get may affect which passported benefits you may automatically get.

11. The , published on 28 August 2025, provides data on Pension Credit applications and awards between April 2023 and August 2025. A was also published on 16 September 2025, which includes the geographic distribution of applications and awards by country, region, LA and Westminster parliamentary constituency across Great Britain.
