1. Introduction

Environmental checks in and around Grenfell Tower were announced in October 2018. Stage 1, of a two-stage programme, was carried out over the spring and summer of 2019 and the full Stage 1 report was published in October 2019. Stage 1 informed the design of Stage 2 which involves more extensive soil sampling and analysis.

The initial results of Stage 2 were shared with residents. We have now published the full Stage 2 report, produced by the independent specialists, AECOM, on behalf of the Multi-Agency Partnership, which is responsible for overseeing the programme.

The full Stage 2 report provides a non-technical summary, a detailed technical report and appendices which provide detailed background information and all the data from the sampling.
