Report the prescription of a BTV-3 vaccination
Private veterinary surgeons (PVS) can use this service to report the prescription of a BTV-3 vaccination.
Applies to England
Private veterinary surgeons should use this service to comply with the UK Chief Veterinary Officer鈥檚 request to notify Defra within 7 days of prescribing a BTV-3 vaccination. Read point 3 of the Advisory note for veterinarians prescribing BTV-3 inactivated vaccine in England for more information.
Before you apply
To use this service, you鈥檒l need the:聽
- county parish holding (CPH) number for the location where the animals were registered when you prescribed the vaccine聽
- name and batch number of the vaccine聽
- number of each species the prescription is intended for
Submit a BTV-3 animal vaccination report聽聽
There鈥檚 a different service for animal keepers to report the use of the BTV-3 vaccine.
When prescribing vaccinations, you should remind animal keepers to report their vaccinations within 48 hours of vaccination.
