Hazard
The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the transformer is poorly constructed and fails to meet the minimum creepage and clearance distances. The internal build quality also required improvement and featured poor quality soldering with wires soldered directly to the PCB.聽 Over time, these inadequate internal connections may loosen, causing the product to become live. The user may receive an electric shock.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
